    Current Gear Review: Helmet

AGV STEALTH SHADOW (MSRP:$279.95) Sale Price(as of 5/30/11): $199.99 (without tinted shield) free shipping via [Moto Super Store]

    Accessories Recommendations:

    Recommended Bargain Prices:
    Smoked Tinted Shield/ Visor $40.00
    -or-
    Reflective Mirror Shield/ Visor $40.00
    Personal Review: ★★★★ (4.5/5.0)
    Time Owned: November 2009-Present
    Weight: Super Light
Type: Street Helmet - Entry Level (Everyday use)
    Certification Rating: DOT
Overall I gotta say this is the lightest helmet I have ever owned in my collection of motorcycle helmets. The vents actually work as well as the defogger vents. I highly recommend the accessories (shield/ visor) if you like the helmet and it fits well. Whether or not you get the smoked or mirror you can't go wrong. As for ride quality it shuts out most* of the wind when I'm riding on the freeway. There is a removable lining which is nice to wash every once in a while. The only room for improvements I could see in this helmet is when you put it on you gotta use your fingers or wiggle the helmet around to get your ears to uncurl. On a side note this helmet is not Snell rated in an attempt by AGV to keep the costs down. Other than that I would highly recommend this helmet to a friend any day. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. The AGV Stealth Shadow was built to last as well as be the best bang for your buck.

    Tron: Legacy

Spoiler alert: For those who haven't seen the remake of Tron: Legacy (2010). Thanks to a friend of mine he got me to watch the remake of the 1982 movie, Tron. To be honest it was a good. Here's my favorite clip from the movie:

You just gotta <3 Olivia Wilde, this is like a dream. And in a world close to perfect this would be my reality.

    Fear

Fear - An induced apprehension of one's well-being in regards to an unknown force that has the power to possibly change one's view or perception of the world. With that said, this will forever change the status quo.

If this unforgiving Monster were ever to take the form of an object I fear it would be this... The Suzuki GSX1300R [Hayabusa (隼) aka the Peregrine Falcon.] This is the reigning king of the Motorcycle world as the Fastest street legal motorcycle available to the public. One could say this is Suzuki's signature trade mark.

    Under the fairings is...
    Engine:
    1340cc, 4-stroke, 4-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, 16-valve
Top Speed (Speedometer): 248 miles per hour (397 km/h)
    Power: 197 horsepower @ 6750 rpm (147kW)
    Transmission: 6-speed
Weight: 550lbs. (dry) 592 lbs. (wet)
Fuel Economy: ~ 26-34 mpg (Assuming you don't go over 8000 rpm!)
    MSRP: $13,699

Concurrently there are 2 generations of Hayabusas (1999-2007) & (2008-Present). Both look fairly beastly, however, I like the 2nd generation has a slight edge given its aerodynamic improvements over it's previous counterpart. However it's also important to note after 2000 the hayabusa underwent the gentleman's agreement and now has a limiter which limits the top speed to 186 mph (300km/h). But as we all know where there's a will there's a way.

Btw if you're worried with fuel economy perhaps this Liter bike isn't for you. You may beat everything that's on the road, but just remember you'll never beat the gas station.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Back in the day before I knew about motorcycles this was the MV that got me hooked. Big Bang's TOP & the 1st generation Hayabusa:

To my readers and fellow Moto enthusiasts

    MMI's Jordan Motorsports GSXR Giveaway!

    ABS or No ABS?

I've been often asked the question, "is the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) worth it?" And at one point I would have told you no it's not worth it, but that's something you'll have to discover for yourself in this Youtube Video featuring the 2009 Honda Fireblade: ABS vs non-ABS

Conclusion: This bike is good w/ ABS, will set you back an extra $1000.00 USD. Depending on your preference, the lighter, standard model has an MSRP of $13,399. The Non-ABS Fireblade is recommended for those willing to spend more time on the track rather than on the street. While the ABS model starts at $14,399 it compliments those who are willing to spend more time on legal roads, especially canyons and twisties~

    Meet my love, F4i (Kathy)

    Make: Honda
    Model: CBR
    Trim: F4i
    Year: 2005
    Class: Sports, 600cc
    Favorite Feature: Street-Friendliness
(Especially for Beginners/ Intermediate level riders)
Least Favorite Feature: It doesn't come with a center stand! (But most bikes these days don't which is a shame...) Also you have to use paddle stands/ lifts because Honda decided for some reason they didn't want the F4i to have the holes needed for the regular spool stand. In other words this is VERY VERY LAME Honda, tisk, tisk!!! Other than that she rides like a dream.
    Weight: 372lbs. (dry) 440lbs. (wet)
Fuel Economy: ~ 37-44 mpg (Decent for 600cc class)
    Personal Review: ★★★★ (4.5/5.0)

^ Look! They look like rabbit ears!
    Modifications:
    -NOS (Don't ask why)
-Mirrors with integrated turn signals (Aftermarket)
    -17' Reflective Orange Rim Tape
    -Tinted Windscreen
    (Aftermarket)
Conclusion: Very minor mods, but hey! When your a college student you do what you can~
    >> Looking to buy/ install a two brothers exhaust next ;)
-or- an upgrade for the suspension would be nice too :D

    Foot Notes:
    1. CBR in my opinion stands for Championship-Bike-Replica, but hey I will admit I'm biased, but just an idea ;]
    2. F4i: Obviously this stands for the 4th Generation Fuel injected engine.
    3. This post is dedicated to my good friend Bryan Chow, who is also a Sports Bike Rider & My dear friend Kathy Le. Just know I kept my promise.
